Pelletization of concentrated iron ore fines
is the latest trend in the effective utilization
of low- grade iron ores. Pellets can be
directly charged into the existing ground
hopper of sponge iron plant saving cost
increase due to addition/alteration of feeding
system.
Process
Description
Iron
ore fines are mixed with binders and controlled
moisture conditions are maintained. The
green pellets are made on a disk pelletizer
and the pellets are drive roasted on a small
grate provided with burners. The dried and
partially roasted pellets are charged into
a rotary kiln for complete roasting.
